みなさんも、どこかで見聞きしたことのある文言かもしれません。
でも、じつは、僕は一度もこのセリフを口にしたことがないんです。

個性とは、「その人らしさを形成する上で、必要不可欠な要素」。
だから、本来の意味で言えば、障害も個性なのかもしれません。

でも、やはり日本で「個性」という言葉が使われるとき、そのほとんどが
肯定的な意味であることが多いように思うんです。

それでも、「障害＝個性」と言えるのか？
ならば、障害という個性があこがれられたりもするのか？
たぶん、答えはNOだと思います。
だから、僕自身は「障害＝個性」と言いきってしまうことに、
少なからず抵抗を感じてしまうのです。
